 Dal Makhani Veg Curry





Ingredients


1.Black Gram Dal - 3/4 Cup
2.Rajma Bean - 1/4 Cup
3.Water
4.Tomato - 4 Nos Chopped
5.Oil - 1 Tbsp
6.Onion - 2 Nos Chopped
7.Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
8.Kashmiri Chili Powder - 2 Tsp
9.Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp
10.Coriander Powder - 2 Tsp
11.Salt - 1 Tsp
12.Garam Masala - 1 Tsp
13.Butter
14.Fresh Cream


Method


Pressure cook the black gram and red kidney beans together
Pressure cook them for about 5 whistles and keep them aside
Grind the tomatoes and make a fine puree
Once done, mash the dal roughly
Heat some oil and butter in a pan, add onions and saute till they are brown
Add ginger garlic paste and saute along
Add the tomato puree and mix well
Close and cook for about 10 mins
Saute till the oil separates
Add the spice powders, and salt and saute
Add the cooked dals to the masala and add water and stir well
Add garam masala and mix well
Close and let it simmer for 10 mins
Turn off the stove and add a dollop of butter and mix well
Finally garnish the dal with fresh cream and coriander leaves
Serve it hot with roti, jeera rice or naan.
